July 4th is a day of celebrating independence from British rule in the United States. We use the opportunity of several friends and artists visiting from Chicago, to consider together the state of the union. How can we use Chicago as a prism to understand the political and artistic climate currently in the US? We will begin with a short presentation by Daniel Tucker and then open up to a discussion with Claire Pentecost and others.
